Isolation and cloning of heparan sulfate proteoglycans and studies of their functions by the use of transgenic and knock out mouse models; structure and function relationship of lipolytic enzymes; identification of major enhancers and silencers in lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase, syndecan-4 and glypican-4 gene promoters; regulation of hepatic lipase in cultured liver cells and macrophages; function of lipolytic enzymes and proteoglycans in lipoprotein receptor-mediated endocytosis. |
